Stu Taggart I CEO I Wollongong 2022
Stu heads up the Organising Committee for Wollongong 2022, and as busy as he is going to be in September, he has STILL put his hand up to support Ride500 Wollongong Battle of the Bosses.
In February 2019, Cycling Australia was awarded the 2022 UCI Road Cycling World Championships. The event is expected to attract 400,000 spectators and bring in an estimated $94M to the local economy. The event is supported by Destination NSW, Wollongong City Council and the Government of NSW.
Stu has over 20 years’ experience in the sports, entertainment and leisure industry. He has worked in executive roles with Football Federation Australia and Australian Rugby Union, as well as providing lead commercial advisory services to international sports federations, major event local organising committees, national sports organisations, government agencies and consumer brands as CEO of Sports Futurist agency, Relevant Innovation.
This is an exciting time for Wollongong and we are thrilled to have Stu as one of our top boss contenders! Being the big boss of the biggest cycling event in the world - it could be quite the advantage - watch this space!
Hi, I am Stu Taggart and I'm taking on the Ride500 challenge to help end cancer.
Please support my Ride by making a donation.
Cancer is a leading cause of death in Australia and sadly, 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. But together, we can help change this by raising some serious coin to help end cancer for good.
Your donation will help fund life-saving cancer research and prevention programs, as well as provide vital support services to people impacted by cancer.
